Environmental Art is also referred to as Land or Earth Art.

In a general sense, it is art that helps improve our relationship with the natural world. The term can be used generally to refer to art dealing with ecological issues and/or the natural , such as the formal, the political, the historical, or the social context. This living worldwide movement is constantly growing and changing.

Much environmental art is ephemeral---made to disappear or transform---, designed for a particular place or involves collaborations between artists and others, such as scientists, educators or community groups.
